Inkling Product Design and The Bridge Program

Today, we’re excited to announce our partnership with Bridge, a designer-in-residence program organized by Designer Fund. Bridge pairs experienced designers with top startups in the San Francisco Bay Area. Designers work full-time at their startup and, once a week, come together to share skills and learn from inspirational speakers. We’re looking for talented designers to join us in our mission to make the world a smarter place by helping people learn.

At Inkling, we’re inventors. We designed the first version of our iPad app by building mocks on a jury-rigged, weighted cardboard model of the first iPad. Then we began solving for an even tougher problem: how can we get beautiful content onto iPads at scale? We solved it by building a powerful cloud-based publishing platform that solved tough but important technical challenges for the industry. Whether it’s visual or architectural, design has always been an integral part of who we are. You see it in our brand, our products, and the quality of everything we do to build engaging and delightful products.

Our product design team is made of people with diverse backgrounds. We learn from each other through our different skills: interaction design, visual design (check out our dribbble page!), coding and user research. Inkling designers have the unique opportunity to work on products for both consumer and enterprise users. Our product development process encourages strong collaboration among designers, engineers, product managers, marketing and other stakeholders.
