Ask an Inkblot: Lilith Wu, Engineering Intern
Lilith currently studies at Stanford University, where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Where are you from?
Mesa, Arizona
Why did you join Inkling?
I was excited about the opportunity to learn from smart people and help make content creative and beautiful.
What do you do?
I’m helping build widgets and their editing interfaces so that users can easily create and customize interactive content.
What has been your proudest moment at Inkling?
My proudest moment so far was finishing my first widget, the slideshow. It was really satisfying to see it in action–being able to plunk the pattern into a project and use the editor to add images and text and, finally, see it rendered on the page. It’s my favorite part of making things: seeing them come to life.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy painting and making masks, skulls, jewelry and clothes. I also like to read (though I don’t do it as often as I should anymore), as well as learn languages and travel.
What’s your favorite book?
House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski
What do you love about working at Inkling?
So far, it has been a great learning experience, with so many awesome brains to pick. It’s also very motivating to work on something that will actually be released and improve other people’s authoring and reading experiences.
